Worker IDs (aka User ID)

Each worker authorized to use ONECase is assigned a Worker ID, also known as the User ID. Most workers will have one Worker ID. For various reasons, a worker may have two or three IDs but this should be rare. There are also special IDs that workers will use to perform certain administration functions. Cox & Company will set up these special IDs.

The agency decides the scheme for assigning the Worker IDs. We recommend using the Worker’s email address (the part before @ sign).

If you do not already have email addresses for every worker, we suggest that you figure out what those addresses would be and use that scheme for the ONECase Worker ID. The only constraint is that the Worker ID can not be longer than 10 characters.

The most common schemes are 1) First Name and first initial of the Last Name and 2) up to six letters of the Last Name followed by the first letter of the First Name.

A Worker uses the Worker ID (aka User ID) to sign on to the AS/400 server used by ONECase. You may also use the ID to sign on to the network server. The Worker ID should be the same letters for at least the local systems -- AS/400, ONECase, and the network. We do not recommend using the scheme employed by the state systems.
