Working with Contacts - FUNCTION KEYS

Enter Passes the data keyed on the screen to the program for validation and editing. Look for messages indicating data errors. In this program the Enter key does not update the data on the screen. Press F13=Update to save the data.

 

F1 Approve All Contacts (F1=Approve)
Changes status of each contact from '1' to '2'.
Changes status on all contacts passing the edits.
Contact data for each contact displayed must be valid and complete.
Total minutes must equal or exceed 480 minutes.

Once approved, the Worker can not change or add contact data on the Contact Date. However, the supervisor and the administrative worker(s) can change or add contact data on the Date.

 

F1 Select All Contacts (F1=Sel ALL)
Selects all line items display on the Open Cases, Closed Activities, and Log Entries screens.
Performs the same function as keying 'X' beside each line item.
Once the line items are selected, you may remove any 'X' manually.

 

F3 Exit the program (F3=Exit)
Returns to the menu (or program) from which the current program was called. This key does not update the data on the screen. Press F13=Update to save the data before leaving the screen. The program displays a warning message if you attempt to leave the screen before pressing F13=Update to save the data. Press the F3 key again if you want to leave without updating.

 

F6 Retrieve Saved Contacts for Contact Date (F6=ContDate)
Displays the Contacts saved for the Contact Date specified.

 

F8 Lookup Value (F8=Lookup)
The F8 key is operative on any field marked with an asterisk. 
• Position the cursor on any Date field, then press the function key to fill with field with the system date.
• Position the cursor on any Person Number field, then press the key to access the "Lookup Person Number" procedure.
• Position the cursor on a standard code field, then press the key to access the "Lookup Standard Codes" procedure. 
• Position the cursor on the ONE/Case Number field, then press the key to access the "Lookup ONE/Case Number" procedure. 
• Position the cursor on the Worker ID field, then press the key to access the "Lookup Worker ID" procedure. 
• Position the cursor on the Service field, then press the key to access the "Lookup Service" procedure.

 

F9 Access Contacts on Previous Contact Date (F9=PrevDay)
Display the Contacts saved for day before the Contact Date specified.

 

F10 Access Contacts on Next Contact Date (F10=NextDay)
Displays the Contacts saved for day after the Contact Date specified.

 

F11 Display All Contacts within the Week (F11=Week)
Displays the Contacts saved for the Contact Week inclusive.

 

F12 Remove Contacts and Re-select (F12=Re-Sel)
Clears the screen of all Contacts, the Worker ID, and Contact Date.

 

F13 Save Data on the screen (F13=Update)
Updates the database with the data shown on the screen at the time you press the key. The change is immediate. Once you press the key, there is no backtracking. To validate or edit the data prior to updating, press the Enter key.

'F13=Update' is displayed in reverse-image format when the screen is accessed or after pressing Enter. Pressing Enter validates/edits the data on the screen but does not update the database. Whenever F13=Update is lit, turn the light off by pressing the key. Doing this ensures that you will not
lose the data you keyed onto the screen.

This program displays the abbreviated Placement Summary screen after updating. Most programs remain on the current screen after updating, awaiting your command for the next action or movement.

If you press F3=Exit or F12=Return before updating by pressing the F13=Update key, the program presents a warning message such as 'Press F13 to save this data or press F3/F12 again'.

 

F14 Display Open Cases (F14=Cases)
Displays services open during the week defined by the Contact Date.

 

F15 Display Closed Case Activities (F15=CsActvy)
Displays activities closed by the Worker on the Contact Date specified.

 

F16 Display Reception Log (F16=Log)
Displays Reception log entries for Worker and Contact Date for the week.

 

F17 Display Folded Data (F17=Fold)
Reveals data stored for the line item but no visible in the normal state. Press the key to reveal the data, press the key again to return the display to the normal, folded state.
F18 Sort Contacts by Name (F18=Sort)
Sorts the Contact by client name. Also implements the (D)elete and (R)eplicate functions.
