How do I make the log entries in the reception log update automatically?

Problem Description
This is a hard one to explain. When I had several workers in the training room explaining how to receive and close their clients, we noticed the following:

When Kay Hunt receives her client and closes it, this is shown on Kay's screen but not on the other workers. If Kena
received and closed her client, that info was updated on Kena's screen but not Kay's, etc. Each worker could only see their updates unless they exited and returned, then you could see who was actually waiting in the lobby and who was not.

You will probably have to see this one or work with it there to understand what I am talking about as it is hard to explain. The person receiving and closing can see what they do, but as other workers are receiving and closing it doesn't update until you exit the system. The problem with this would be a supervisor opens One Case to view the log and unless they exit and reopen several times throughout the day they will not know who is waiting and who has left. Same thing for the front desk.
