How does ONECase use Start Calculation Date?

RESPONSE
There is a field on the Day Care Controls screen called 'Start Calculation Date'. You must set that date as the first day of the earliest month that ONECase will create Attendance records. "Print Attendance Sheets" will not create an Attendance record for a month earlier that the 'Start Calculation Date' value.

ONECase will not support a retroactive payment before that date. If you must pay a vendor for service earlier than that date, you must handle it manually -- ie, key the reimbursement data directly into the state day care system.

ONECase cannot support payments earlier than the 'Start Calculation Date' because it has no way of knowing payments made on whatever system you used before you started using ONECase. Because it does not know amounts previously vouchered, ONECase will or may pay the vendor again for service months earlier than that date.

In short, if we use October service month data from the state to create the starting data files, the Start Calculation Date must be November 1, 1999. If we use November service month, the date must be December 1, 1999.
