My CPS Incident did not print
out
We have some people visiting the CPS unit this week and they would
like to see a report of each investigator's cases from January 12, 1999
until now. Do you know of anything that I could be doing wrong?
My steps are below:
1. Select option 51
2. Select option 7 (CPS Open Incident Report by Worker)
3. Put in criteria
4. Select option 91
RESPONSE from CASEY
Mr. Cox ran the report and got some data. He said to make sure that you
key a '1' in the field right after the date range. It says something
about 'days'. If you don't get a good report, send me some more mail.
Mr. Brady fixed the problem. Your print job was waiting for
someone to answer what the AS400 calls a 'system message'. The
'system message' was that your backup had a problem. Small
world, isn't it?
We need to teach you how to answer system messages. Here's what
you do. On the command line type 'dspmsg qsysopr'. The server
will display messages awaiting an answer. To see the options,
press the help key -- which is probably Alt+F1 on your PC.
To check the status of your jobs, go to menu 18, then menu 98.
Take option 7. Jobs that are finished will have the letters
'OUTQ' in the Status column. Jobs that are waiting will have the
letters 'JOBQ'.
Send me a message if you do not understand.
Two segments print when one note shows?

This one is regarding Case Number 2935 and Person Number 18661. When the worker
goes to f2 for notes, it appears that there is only one set of notes. However,
when she does to print her notes, two separate segments of notes print. If you do
the f21 for list you can see those notes. What are we missing here and what
exactly does f21 list mean. Can we get the notes to all appear when you choose f2
for notes?
CASEY #1:
As soon as I get a minute, I will dial in and look at it.
CASEY #2:
When you press F2 to go to notes, the 'Lookup Client Statement Notes' screen
shows. An 'S' in the 'S' column means that the note in segmented. Has Mr. Cox
explained to you what note segments are? They are really break-downs of a single
note. The note for Statement 2935 is segmented into two segments. That's what the
'S' means.
You can see the segments by going to Maintain and pressing the F18 key. If you
want to print one segment, just put a 'P' beside the segment and press Enter. If
you print the whole note, you get both segments.
Overnout.
