Request change to start sessions without showing gray connection box

The AS/400 Sign on box that pops up automatically when you start windows, is there a way to automate this not to pop up each time? Also, is each user supposed to sign on there with a general id or there specific name and password?

RESPONSE
There is a way to do this, but we have to figure out how. I will put this request in the 'Working On' file and get back to you. By the way, this happens to me, too -- I want to stop it.
