How do we know if our backup is working properly?

Here's how. Type the following command 'dspmsg qsysopr' on the command line, press Enter. The server will show a bunch of messages. Scroll up until you see a message that says 'The Daily Backup has completed'. Put the cursor on the message and press Help (Alt+F1). A detail screen will appear showing Date Sent. If Date Sent is ok, your backup completed.
