How do I delete a user profile?

I tried to delete two user profiles. I keyed "wrkusrprf" on the command line then entered the person's name "kwood". I entered 4 to delete. I get the message: User profile kwood not deleted.

Users create what the AS400 calls objects, which are things like notes. The "owner" of the object is the user who created it. When you delete a user profile, the AS400e server wants to know whether you want to delete the objects owned by the user or transfer ownership to another worker. We suggest transferring ownership.

Type a '4' next to the user profile you want to delete, then press F4. Look for the parameter called 'Owned object value' and the options out to the right. The default is usually *NODLT. If you want to delete the objects owned by the user, change the value to *DLT, then press Enter. Good-bye user, good-bye objects.

To transfer ownership, type *CHGOWN in the space, then type the user profile ID on the next line. Press Enter. After some whirring and buzzing the server will probably delete the profile.
