Step 9: Add the New Placement


The placement screen contains data both about where the child is placed and about payments and funding.

PLACEMENT
The social worker can place a client into a home directly from the Home Placements screen. Simply key the Home Number, the date the placement began, and whether the placement is paid or not. After keying this data press the F13 key to update.

PAYMENT AND REIMBURSEMENT
The ‘Home Placement Funding’ screen will appear. The ‘Home Placement Funding’ screen holds all the data about payments to the home and each payments funding source. These data control the payment to the home and reimbursement from the state so it needs to be accurate and current.

Date Placement Ended
A date expressed as MMDDYYYY to indicate when the placement ends. To end a placement, type the last night the child stayed in the home and a code indicating the reason the placement ended.

Living Arrangement
Used to store a 3 character code that represents the living arrangement of the person. Acceptable values are available by pressing the F8 Function Key for Lookup. 

Structure 1 
A code that identifies the family structure as follows: 

1 = Married Couple
2 = Unmarried Couple, 
3 = Single Female 
4 = Single Male 
5 = Unknown 




Date Placement Began 

A date expressed as MMDDYYYY to indicate when the placement begins.

Paid Placement (Y/N)
A 1 character code used to indicate if the placement is paid or not. Acceptable values are 'Y' if the placement is paid, or "N' if the placement is not paid. 

Type Placement ? P 
A code to indicate the type of placement as follows: 

'P' = Permanent Placement 
'V' = Temporary Visit 
' ' = Other
