Step 4: Start New Placement Application


From the Selection screen you can create a new application, add a person to an existing application, or access an existing application. 

To access an existing application, key the Provider, the Application Number, and the Person Number, then press Enter. You will probably want to use the lookup if you don not have all these data available. .

When adding a new application, you have the option to link the application to a existing case or to create a new case for it. Once the application is created, you can maintain data about the application itself or maintain placements.

Steps to link a new Application to an existing Case 

On the Selection screeen,
Key the Provider and Person Number,
Press F6=Add New Application.
On the Referral window,
Key the Case Number of the existing case,
Key Referral Date/Source (optional), 
Press F13=Update.
On the Create Case/Service window,
Key the Worker ID,
Key County Case Number (optional),
Key Application Date (optional),
Press F13=Update.

Steps to create a new Application and a new Case

On the Selection screeen,
Key the Provider and Person Number,
Press F6=Add New Application.
On the Referral window,
Key Referral Date/Source (optional),
Do NOT key an existing Case Number. 
Press F13=Update.
On the Create Case/Service window,
Key the Worker ID,
Key County Case Number (optional),
Key Application Date (optional),
Press F13=Update.

After taking these steps, the application and a new case are now created. You may now maintain data on the Placement Summary screen. Press F5 to add one or more Placements.
