howto: Maintain Placement Home Rates
Do not set up rates for a home that is paid the state rate.
Use “Home Rates” procedure on Menu 58.
Copy rate structure from an existing Home, then change rates for the Home.
Define rates for as far into the past as you will define a child’s eligibility.
Run “Home Rates List” procedure on Menu 58 to see a list of rates.
The program will use the rates for Home Number ‘99999’ for any home that uses the approved state rate schedule.
You will need to set up the rate structure for each Home. There is a separate rate for each combination of Program, Effective Date,
and Service Unit. For each combination there is a monthly rate.
Define rates for as far into the past as you will define Eligibility. In other words, if you want to show that a child was placed in a
home 24 months ago, you must set up a Home rate with an Effective Date at least 24 months ago.
To speed up the process, we recommend that you set up one or more "dummy" Homes from which you can copy rate structure into
the "live" Homes. After copying, you can change individual rates for the Home. If you need help to see how this technique works,
ask Cox & Company.
