Function Keys
Enter Passes the data keyed on the screen to the program for validation and editing. Look for messages indicating data
errors. In this program the Enter key does not update the data on the screen. Press F13=Update to save the data.
F1 Access additional data screen. (F1=MoreData+)
Place the cursor on any field marked with a '+' and press key to reveal a screen/window with additional data. The '+' highlights in
reverse image when there is more data on the window than shows on the main screen.
• On the 'Mailing ?' field to access the Mailing Address screen.
• On the 'Short' field to access the State Interface Address screen.
• On the 'Birth Data' field to access the Birth Date and Place screen.
• On the 'Citizenship' field to access the Citizenship Data screen.
• On the 'Marital' field to access the Marital Status Data screen.
• On the 'Education' field to access the Education Status screen.
• On the 'Military' field to access the Military Service Data screen.
• On the 'Income' field to access the Maintain Income Sources screen.
• On the 'Disability' field to access the Disability Classifications screen.
• On the 'IDs/Numbers' field to access the State Program ID Numbers screen.
F2 Replicate Residence Address. (F2=RplAddr)
Press this key to access the Replicate Address function. Using the function a worker can change the Residence Address for all or
selected family members simultaneously. Note that the function works on the list of persons defined in the Family Index, which is
not necessarily the same list defined as Case Members. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F3 Exit the program. (F3=Exit)
Returns to the menu (or program) from which the current program was called. This key does not update the data on the screen.
Press F13=Update to save the data before leaving the screen. The program displays a warning message if you attempt to leave the
screen before pressing F13=Update to save the data. Press the F3 key again if you want to leave without updating.
F4 Delete Person. (F4=Delete)
Press this key to delete the Person data record. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F5 Maintain Verification Data. (F5=Verify)
Position the cursor on certain fields followed by a 'V' and press this key to access a window through which the Verification Date,
Method, and Worker can be maintained. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F6 Add New Person. (F6=Add Person)
Press this key to put the program in ADD mode. Using the function a worker can start a data record about a Person in the
ONECase database. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
NOTE: ONECase cannot assure that a person will not be duplicated in the database -- that is, defined by more than one data
record. Before adding a new Person, you should search the database thoroughly using "Lookup Person Number" to determine
whether the person has already been set up in the database. The program gives you a red warning message if you attempt to add a
new Person with a Social Security Number that is already defined for another Person record in the database.
F7 Retrieve Previous Residence Address. (F7=PrvAddr)
When adding a Person data record, press this key to retrieve the full Residence Address from the previous data record maintained in
the session. The previous Person record may have been added or changed. Using the function saves time when a worker is adding
Persons who reside at the same address.
The F7=PrvAddr key appears only when the program is in ADD mode. It does not appear for the first Person added during a
session.
F8 Lookup Value. (F8=Lookup*)
The F8 key is operative on any field marked with an asterisk.
Position the cursor on any Date field, then press the function key to fill with field with the system date.
Position the cursor on any Person Number field, then press the key to access the "Lookup Person Number" procedure.
Position the cursor on a standard code field, then press the key to access the "Lookup Standard Codes" procedure.
Position the cursor on the ONECase Number field, then press the key to access the "Lookup ONECase Number"
procedure.
Position the cursor on the Worker ID field, then press the key to access the "Lookup Worker ID" procedure.
Position the cursor on the Service field, then press the key to access the "Lookup Service" procedure.
F9 Switch to Second Screen. (F9=MoreCodes)
Press this key to reveal a second screen on which a worker can maintain additional Person data. Press the key again to return to
the main or initial screen.
F10 Maintain Same As data. (F10=SameAs)
Press this key to access the Maintain Same As function. Through the function a worker can link two Person data records as being
the same actual person, the same human being. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F11 "Explore Relationships". (F11=Explore)
Press this key to access the "Explore Relationships" procedure.
F12 Previous Screen. (F12=Return)
Returns to the screen displayed immediately prior to the screen shown.
F13 Save the Data. (F13=Update)
Updates the database with the data shown on the screen at the time you press the key. The change is immediate. Once you press
the key, there is no backtracking. To validate or edit the data prior to updating, press the Enter key.
'F13=Update' is displayed in reverse-image format when the screen is accessed or after pressing Enter. Pressing Enter
validates/edits the data on the screen but does not update the database. Whenever F13=Update is lit, turn the light off by pressing
the key. Doing this ensures that you will not lose the data you keyed onto the screen.
If you press F3=Exit or F12=Return before updating by pressing the F13=Update key, the program presents a warning message
such as 'Press F13 to save this data or press F3/F12 again'.
F14 Maintain Comments about the Person. (F14=Comments)
Press this key to access the PF Person File Comments function. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F15 Maintain Special Needs. (F15=SpclNds)
Press this key to access the Maintain Special Needs function. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F17 View History of Changes. (F17=ChgHstry)
Position the cursor on any field and press this key to view a history of changes made to the field. The screen displays the Date of
the Change, the worker who changed the data, and the value before the change. For more information, see the description later in
this guide.
F18 "Work with Family Group". (F18=Family)
Press this key to access the "Work with Family Groups" procedure. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F19 Add/Remove/Change Message ID. (F19=Msg ID)
Press this key to access the Message ID window. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F20 Lookup Services by Person. (F20=Services)
Press this key to access the Lookup Services by Person function. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F21 View/Change Record Status. (F21=Status)
Press this key to reveal the View/Change Record Status window. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F22 Search EIS. (F22=EIS Srch)
Press this key to access the "Search EIS" procedure. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F23 Work with Messages. (F23=Messages)
Press this key to access Messages function. For more information see the description later in this guide.
F23 Maintain Directions to Home. (F23=DirHome)
Press this key to access the DR Directions to Home function. For more information, see the description later in this guide.
F24 Access ZIP Screen. (F24=Zip)
Press this key to reveal the Zip screen. The Zip screen has access to important functions and procedures. For more information,
see the guide on the Zip screen.
