Defining the Eligibility Period

The beginning and ending eligibility dates keyed on the Application Summary screen define the limits both of a child's eligibility and of a vendor enrollment. Neither may have a beginning date earlier or an ending date later than the period defined on the Application Summary screen. If you move the beginning date later or the ending date earlier on the Application Summary screen, ONECase automatically adjusts the dates on all the Child Application screens and all the Enrollment screens that previously fell outside the period now defined.

Eligible from.......... ________ through ________

Keying the mandatory data fields

Several of the fields on the 'Application Summary' screen must be keyed. You may key data into the other fields but are not required by the program to do so. The mandatory fields include:

County Case Number
Applicant Working? If applicant is WFFA Working, type 'Y'.
If applicant is WFFA JOBS, type 'N'.
If applicant is low income and does not receive WFFA, type 'N'.
Applicant in School?
AFDC Participant? AFDC Case Number is required if 'Y'.
JOBS Participant?

Key the correct values into these fields.
Press 'F3=Update'.
The program will display the 'Application Members' screen. You are now ready to add children to the application.

Adding a ONECase Case

Adding the applicant automatically creates a ONECase Case for her.

DO NOT SET UP THE CASE MANUALLY.

When you press F13 on the >Applicant Summary= screen, ONECase automatically creates a Case for the applicant. The applicant
is the client and will therefore show a >CLT= Relationship Code on the AWork with Cases@ screen.

You will see no indication that a case has been created except on subsequent screens the ONECase Number will appear in the upper right corner of the screen.
