Understanding the Eligibility Hierarchy


There is an eligibility hierarchy among the Application Summary, Child Application, and Child Enrollment screens. The eligibility dates on the Application Summary bracket the eligibility dates on the Child Application screen(s) which in turn bracket the dates on the Child Enrollment screen.

The ‘Begin’ date in the enrollment window shall not be earlier than the ‘Eligible From’ date on the same screen. The latter date is the 'Eligible from’ date on the Child Application screen. The ‘From’ date on that screen shall not be earlier than the beginning ‘Eligibility Date’ on the Application Summary screen.

The 'End' date in the enrollment window shall not be later than the ‘Eligible thru’ date on the same screen. The latter date is the ‘Eligible through’ date on the Child Application screen. The Child Application 'Eligible through' date shall not be later than the ending ‘Eligibility Date’ on the Application Summary screen.
