howto: Maintain ‘Vendor Rates’
Use “Vendor Rates” procedure on Menu 48.
Copy rate structure from dummy Vendor, then change rates for the Vendor.
Define rates for as far into the past as you will define a child’s eligibility.
Run “Vendor Rates List” procedure on Menu 48 to see a list of rates.
You will need to set up the rate structure for each Vendor(-Site). There is a separate rate for each combination of Program, Effective
Date, and Service Unit. For each combination there is a monthly and a daily rate.
Use the "Vendor Rates" option on Menu 48. Run the "Vendor Rate List" option on Menu 48 for a list.
Service Units are the types of services offered by the Vendor. They include full days, half days, school days, three-quarter days,
1-way and 2-way transportation days.
F Full days 1 One-way transportation
Q Three-quarter days 2 Two-way transportation
P Half days
S Half days for a school age child
Define rates for as far into the past as you will define Eligibility. In other words, if you want to show that a child was enrolled in a
center 24 months ago, you must set up a vendor rate with an Effective Date at least 24 months ago.
To speed up the process, we recommend that you set up one or more "dummy" vendors from which you can copy rate structure into
the "live" Vendors. After copying, you can change individual rates for the Vendor. If you need help to see how this technique works,
ask Cox & Company.
