IN/OUT BOARD


The "IN/Out Board" is a feature that allows a worker to notify other workers about their particular availability. When the feature is active, each worker is automatically available immediately upon "signing on" to the AS/400. When a worker uses the menu option 99 to "sign off", the feature provides the opportunity for the worker to tell the other workers where he/she is going and the approximate time of return. If the worker is leaving for the day, he/she only has to press the F13 Function Key. 

If the worker is going to be in the office and tied up in a meeting or such, the feature can be accessed from a "Zip" screen from any procedure by keying any character other than 'D' or 'H' beside "Work with In/Out Board".
