howto: Use Zip Screen


The Zip screen addresses the space limitation on certain ONE/Case screens. It offers a full description plus help text for each function key as well as a faster way to execute supported functions.

The functions presented on each Zip screen are definable for each screen. For each screen from which Zip is available, up to 32 separate functions can be defined. The sample below illustrates the concept.

Situated on the Zip screen, you can press the function key, select a function to execute or to display Help text, return to the home screen to execute the function. Press Enter to return to the home screen or to effect the selection of an item.

Zip benefits

The Zip screen is a fast way to execute supported functions, that is, without without exiting the procedure to return to a menu. For example, when the message light appears, you can "Zip" to the screen to view the message.
