Step 8: Close the Incident
Search the database for history
The investigation worker may want to do the same research described in Step 5.
Update Allegation Notes
Press the ‘F19=AlgNotes’ key to access either the View Allegation Notes or the Work with Allegation Notes screen.
Key Incident Notes
Press the ‘F22=IncdtNotes’ key to access the Work with Incident Notes screen.
Add or remove participants
You can add or remove participants on the ‘Work with Incident Participants’ screen. The program will update the members
of the ONECase case automatically.
Worker conducts investigation
Return to ‘Work with Incident Participants’ screen
The Log Number should be showing in the ‘Log #’ field.
Use the lookup function to lookup the Log Number, if necessary.
Complete the investigation
Press the ‘F16=CmplInvst’ key.
The ‘Work with Incident Completion’ screen will appear.
Key the data fields on the screen.

Key the ‘Relationship to Victim’ code.
Key the ‘Malt’ code.
Press Enter.
The screen will display another victim if there is one.
Key the ‘Relationship to Victim’ and ‘Malt’ code.
Press Enter.
Repeat until all victims have been coded.
The ‘Work with Incident Completion’ screen will appear.
Display Incident Overview
Complete the incident
Press Enter twice.
The selection screen will appear.
Key Incident Notes
Press the F20 function key to access the "Work with Incident Notes" screen. Incident Notes are a version of Case Notes.
