Step 1: Add the New Incident
Go to the ‘CPS Incidents’ menu 51.
Select the “Work with CPS Incidents” option
Key ‘1' on the command line.
Press Enter.
The ‘Work with Incidents’ screen appears.
Add the Incident
Press the ‘F6=Add Incident’ key.
The ‘Work with Incident Participants’ screen appears.
The ‘CPS Incidents’ menu is the main CPS menu and “Work with CPS Incidents” is the main program in the module. It is the
program by which all incidents are added and maintained.
Selection screen
After you select the "Work with CPS Incidents" option from the menu, ONECase presents a selection screen. To add a new
incident, press the ‘F6=Add New’ key.

Note that if you were maintaining an existing incident, rather than adding a new one, you would see this same screen. You would
key the Log Number rather than starting a new incident. You may have to use the F8 key to lookup the Log Number. As you will
remember, the F8 key works on any field marked with an asterisk.
‘Work with Incident Participants’ screen
After you press F6 to add a new incident, the program will display the ‘Work with Incident Participants’ screen. It will start a new
incident and will automatically assign a Log Number after you have keyed Participants on the screen that follows.
Note the status message ‘NEW’ on the screen. This means just what it says.
