STEPS: To Set Up the AS/400e Server
Install Hardware
This is the responsibility of the company from whom you purchase the server.
Change ‘QSECOFR’ Password to ‘ONECASE’
Sign on as QSECOFR.
At the first opportunity, change the password to ‘ONECASE’ or appropriate password.
Write the password down in a safe place and tell someone else where it is.
Add User Profile for ‘G400SEC’
Sign on as QSECOFR.
Create user profile G400SEC by copying QSECOFR.
Write down the password you give G400SEC and keep it in a safe place.
Maintain System Values
Sign on as QSECOFR or G400SEC.
Type the command WRKSYSVAL on a command line and press Enter.
Change the values.
Connect Communication Line
Give Cox the telephone number.
Bring up TCP/IP Network
Go HARDWARE to determine Resource Name.
Go TCPADM to begin.
CRTLINETH Line Description=ETHTCP Resource=CMN02 AUTOCREATE=*YES
Configure TCP/IP Interface.
Define local domain and host table entries.
Set up Backup Procedures
Add TCP commands to start menu
Add STRTCP and STRHOSTSVR *ALL to the commands which execute when you IPL the AS/400.
Restore ONECase libraries and help folders
Use the ‘RSTLIB command to restore ONECase libraries from the tape.
To speed up the install process, be sure to specify ‘*LEAVE’ on the RSTLIB command.
The tape device is usually named ‘TAP01’ but you may have to use ‘GO HARDWARE’ to find the Device Name
on the server.
G4001CSO G4001UTIL CLLINK
G4001DB G4001TRN G400INST G4001RLS
G400NNNN where NNNN is the county number — for example, Cleveland is ‘3023'.
G4001CSO should contain CL programs SUTRN and SUXXX where XXX is the county abbreviation.
Rename G4001DB to G4001CSD
This will set up your initial database.
Sign on as ‘G400SEC’ worker.
Use CPYF command to copy files from G4001DB to G4001CSD.
Convert Objects to RISC
If necessary, run the command STROBJCVN *ALLUSR to convert all objects from CISC to RISC.
Set up Initial User Profiles
Sign on as QSECOFR.
Create user profile ‘TOMCOX’ by copying QSECOFR.
Copy G400SEC to create a profile for each ONECase system administrator.
The ONECase administrators are the 2-3 workers who support all workers in the agency.
Unit co-ordinators support a unit within a Provider -- we’ll set them up later.
Create one Provider profile, then create the others by copying it.
Create a profile ‘CA400' for default sign on to Client Access.
You will not need to set up a Worker record for ‘CA400'.
Test the user profiles by signing onto AS/400.

Provider Profiles ADM ADS CWS CDC
Initial Menu CSMN18 ADMN71 CPMN51 DCMN41

Note that Worker records for G400SEC and the Provider workers are already defined in G4001DB. In a later
step, you will have to add the ONECase administrators to the Worker file.
