Step 5: Inform the worker

The worker is now set up.
You will need to give the worker three pieces of data:

ONECase Worker ID, which is the same as the AS/400 'Sign On' ID.
AS/400 'Sign On' password.
ONECase password.

For convenience, these data values may be the same. You should also lecture the worker on the consequences of letting other workers use her password! After the lecture, you are finished.

You must set up an AS/400 user profile for each ONECase worker.
You will also set up a “copy from” profile for each Provider.

Sign on as a System Administrator.
Sign on to the AS/400 using an ID that lets you key commands on the command line,
for example, ‘G400SEC’.
If your ID does not have ‘command line’ support, the AS/400 will give you a message.

Create the ‘copy from’ Provider profiles.
The G4001CSD data library will already contain a worker record for each Provider.
You must set up a ‘copy from’ profile for each Provider.
Then you will copy these profiles to create a AS/400 user profile for each worker.

From the command line, type:

WRKUSRPRF USRPRF(G400SEC)

Press Enter.
A screen showing the ‘G400SEC’ will appear.
